This serum has what L'oréal terms as two high-tech reactivating ingredients that boost the eyelashes. The first being a medley of Pro-Vitamin B5, Arginine and Pro-peptide that boost the supply of lash nutrients.

The second is Madecassoside (a common beauty component used in collagen strengthening) to prolong lash lifespan. This would mean that the lashes wouldn't fall off so easily.

Two simple steps to using this serum. The "wand" is more like a curved flexible applicator. The first  step involves using the tip apply to the root of the lashes very much like an eyeliner. The second step is sweeping the whole length of the lashes with the curved end of the applicator. It is advised to use this twice daily (day and night) and it can even be used as a mascara base!

Freida Pinto, spokesperson for the Renewal Lash Serum demonstrates the 2-step procedure.

Applying it during the day would

i) protect the lashes from external aggressions

and ii) to ensure that the lashes are more lumnous and attractive.

At night it during the peak of cellular regeneration, it

i) encourages cellular renewal and

ii) balances the hormones for proper physiological balance

Do be careful when u apply tho, some bit got into my eyes (cause I was impatient thinking more would mean faster results) and it gave a very mild sting that is easily washed off with abit of water.

Although L'oréal recommends to use this product for 4 weeks to see the results, I've tried it for 3 weeks or so.

Just before my first application one of my eyelashes fell out (rawr!). But the difference from after religiously applying it day and night, I could see that my eyelashes are slightly longer and fuller. I'm now less concerned about lashes falling off after rubbing my eyes, removing my contacts and using eye makeup remover. Not bad eh? I'm gonna go ahead (and I have already) recommend this to those who want natural looking lashes, catch is that you'd have to stick to making sure the serum is used day and night for a month.

The right shade is one thing. It's got to have exactly what I'm looking for especially since I was going on a beach holiday when my skin is going to be continuously stripped of moisture from all that sun and sea water.

Since I'm stopping over at Singapore before heading to the sunny bays of Thailand, I predicted that by the time I get home, I'll probably have a healthy tan two tones darker than my usual skin colour.

Before my weekend escape to Krabi, I packed in two shades of True Match Super Blendable Foundation into the bag along with.

Why the fuss of bringing two bottles? Even with sun protection the constant inevitable sun exposure from the outdoor activities will indefinitely change my skin tone. My usual ivory skin will need a warm glowover after a day or two in the sun.

Hydrated Skin Even from all the constant change of temperature from outdoor heat to indoor air conditioning and sea breezes

Most of the time, the UV perfect moisturizer was used as a base before foundation and as a protection measure in the daily regime. I tried a Vanilla Ivory shade for my fair skin and even after all the travelling to Changi up to the jetty before heading off to the resort. There was barely the feel of usually battered, dry skin from the drastic elemental changes.

Of course with the next day just island hopping for the next 8 hours or so I packed the bottle of UV Perfect Moisturizer out with me!

Only a small squeeze from the tube gives me plenty of moisture for my face. God only knows what I'll be exposing myself too asides from sea water (I'm thinking leaked boat engine oil, smears from oily food, saliva from very friendly tourists) So there will be plenty a time where I would attempt to clean my face and reapply moisturizer throughout the island hopping experience.

But what I'm so god awful afraid of is the direct sun exposure. It's absolutely pointless of me to bring my Sunshades along seeing that I can't wear my contacts while snorkeling. I shiver knowing the more sensitive areas of my face, especially the eye zones will be easily teased by UV A (Aging) and UV B (Skin Burning) rays.

The gist of it all, I FEAR OF AGING BEFORE MY TIME!

Before the SPF 50++  protective portion of the moisturizer can even get to work out in the sun, I'm already positively glowing  by breakfast ~<3 thanks to the anti dullness factor in the moisturizer.

Loved the fact that when I came back from my holiday, asides from feeling far from a slice of burnt toast, I found out the UV Perfect Moisturizer had 12 hours of pollution shield too!

Now cause I want to stay young for as long as I can help it, I have the UV Perfect Moisturizer in my makeup pouch and I never face the day without it.

          

I hate my breakouts and inflammed tired skin especially when I don't get enough sleep and when the monthly visitor comes about. My two best friends swear by it to sooth acne and I thought I would make some of my own.

According to Michelle, Aspirin contains Salicylic Acid for anti-inflamattion, exfoilating dead skin cells thus showing imporvement for wrinkles, discoloured skin, photodamaged skin and acne

My problem is that I'm always so pressed for time, I have to keep making the mask which take up too much of my time (about 8-10 minutes) I mask twice a week, so that means 20 minutes a week / 90 minutes a month to prepare the mask. T-T

I got me some of these DIY masks from Yokoso! (either Pavilion, 1 Utama or Sungei Wang). A pack of 50 goes for about RM9.90 and after using them, they are easily disposed.

I purchased a pack of 24's Bayer Aspririn (Ranging from RM 8.00 to RM10.00), alternatively you may also use Disprin ( A pack of 8 at RM1.88 from watsons)

I emptied the entire box of 24's into a jar with Evian Water (yes only good water for my skin which was actually not that necessary) and you can see the aspirin dissolving almost instantly.

I topped up the water to half the jar and then filled it up with half a bottle of honey (which has rejuvenating properties)

And shook the entire jar to mix. The grit from the Aspirin bits will still remain but this will be great to exfoilate as you wash off the mask later on.

Take out 10 sheets of the disposable mask and individually fold them before soaking them in the Aspirin Mask Mix. This Prevents them from sticking together as an entire clump when you're pulling out the mask for use.

I then seal the jar and put it in the fridge for quick and future use, shaking the jar each time to get more of the grit (which has settled on to the bottom of the jar) on the mask. As you wash of the mask, use the grit left by the mask on your face to exfoilate

Keeping it cool in the fridge will help more with the skin inflammation and is a fantastic sweet smelling mask to use on a hot day after a sweaty outdoor activity that is sure to give you breakouts.

I found that making this mix also tends to make your skin less dried out as the salicylic acid from 24 pcs is well distributed through out 10 pcs of mask

The cost for 10 pcs of mask?

[RM3.50 (half a bottle of honey) + RM8 (24s Aspirin) + RM2.00 (10pcs disposable mask) ] divided by 10 = RM1.35 /mask

Face Bases: I always carry a Primer (M.A.C.'s prep and prime), A gel Foundation (Maybelline Clear Smooth in No. 13), Eye concealer (Bobbi Brown in Warm Beige and Pale Yellow) Concealer Stick (Bobby Brown in Warm Beige), Loose Powder (Bobbi Brown in Pale Yellow) and Pressed Powder (Clinique Mattifying Powder in 02)

which is applied/Blended in by:

A foundation Brush (Stage Foundation Brush), Concealer Brush (Stage Concealer Brush) and Loose Powder Brush (Esteé Lauder Powder Brush)

That is when I work in my eyebrows with a Eyebrown Line (K-palette 24 hour tattoo Eyebrow Liner in Brown) and brush up any loose pieces of unsightly eyebrows with a handy Eyebrow shaver, tweezer and Brush.

Colour In with a range of Eyeshadows (I'm a big fan of Majolica Majorca, Kate, Estee Lauder and Dior Eyeshadows). I love to carry quads with me, always a day shade and a night shade so I can stay flexible. Lining my waterline with a slight pearly shade of white (Ettusais)

Then curling my eyes with a good Eyelash Curler (Shu Uemura eyelash curler) and slapping on some Voluminous Black Mascara (Esteé Lauder Magnascopic Lash)

In my makeup bag now, I'm carrying a Stage Blush in Gerbera, Lipgloss by Majolica Majorca in PK 388 lined by a stick of Nivea Lip Balm.

I'm also PETRIFIED of being smelly or stinky so I always carry Heavy Duty Mints (Extra by Wrigleys or Starbucks After Coffee Mints) Two Scents (Right Now Bvlgari Rose and Body Shop's White Gardenias, I like a youthful fresh smelling scent). At least a pack of Wet Wipes from Watsons to rid of oily hands after a meal.

A comb, my Velcro hair sticks that keep my hair up, My U-shaped bobby pins for a day or night hair do on the go, Liese Wax Gel with Medium Hold in 06, My Contacts Lens case (in case it gets horribly uncomfortable) and my Moisturiser called "Help The Paw"! hehe!

Vain, vain, vain me.

          

This isn't just some random LOL, OMG, WTF post or a sign of desperation (I assure you Mom, your girl has not yet reached the breaking point of her sanity, let alone her emotions).

I am about to dedicate the nights and days in September, to meet new people (especially the opposite sex) or to get to know the ones I'm already acquainted with a little better.

It's hard to self promote and be humble at the same time, I'm not very good at being pretentious so I'll just roll it all up and promise you that there will be definitely some interesting take home Kodak moment OR I have a natural talent to say something that will be permanently etched in your memory. Some just witnessed me nearly setting a shisha / Ramly burger joint on fire recently, but let's save that story for when I go out with you.

You should be able to tell by now that I'm random, impish with that "Bring It On" Attitude. I will not overblow the fact that being able to pole dance gives me extra credit, because there is really more to me than just being flexible and having a good grip. I am passionate about alot of things from History to Physics, Anime to LOL Speek, Music to Charity. Politics and Cars tho, are definitely not my strong points.

I have a decent physical stature and because I aim to please most of the time, impressions mean lasting moments for me. That doesn't mean I will take ages to get ready tho!

No. I do not have a jealous other half at this moment who will pose any threat to you should you be caught with me. Make sure you don't too XD

This is going to be one heck of an experience

          

I was hoping to test out their new Zero Tolerance Anti Blemish Line (since I'm still breaking out especially on a stretch of sleepless nights) but the consultants insisted I get my skin profile done first.

I explained I'm already on their infamous 3 step cleaning program for type 3 skin; but since skin can change over time, it's about time to get my profile reviewed again.

I'm still the fair type (doesn't get dark easy) with a typical oily T-zone prone to breakouts when I lack sleep, water or am under a terrible dose of stress. Well, they recommended me all of the above, some of which I have been using for years especially the moisture surge eye gels, the "take the day off" make up remover and "super denfense for oily skin with SPF25" that I put on every day and night after cleansing, toning and moisturizing... I have a magmanimous fear of developing wrinkles. *squint*

The other thing I adore about Clinique is how simple and fast it is to get to all done up. Salina (my consultant for the day) did a great job at the complimentary touch up; giving me a natural look with the new blossom range and their blush brushes! She also recommended Strawberry Fudge duo eyeshadow (since I'm not too fond of carrying around single-pack coloured eyeshadows) to mimic the look.

I bought me the "Pore Minimizing Clay Mask" which is after careful calculation very worth my RM105.00 because I only use it every 3-4 days only around my cheeks, nose and forehead especially after a round of black head removal and it's great for drying up breakouts! I got myself my mattifying powder and also their hydrating spray which holds and sets makeup so darn well!

Cause of this event as well, I'm paying more attention (not that I already haven't) to my skin. Personal note to go back within these 3 months to hopefully try something new again

Most of our friends of course were dating people of the same age or close to their years. Then of course, we thought of the selected few... the younger females who were always dating older men... REALLY OLD men.

Oft, we wonder in a perfectly heterosexual relationship why the 22 year old guy is dating a 16 year old girl. Sounds so wrong doesn't it? Then again, when a 36 year old person is dating a 25 year old female, we suppose that's much better to the logic than the first suggestion.

We then brought up the case of couple A. He was 8 years older than her and she's about 24.

"Perfectly normal..." butts in my friend. He then says "Fits perfectly into the general 'older male in a heterosexual relationship equation"

Me and the other guy were intrigued. Well we wanted to hear it and we were after all speaking to a person who specializes in the "maximums and minimums" of life.

According to something he has read up before. The equation should be something like this:

So lets say the guy is 30 and the minimum age of girl that he'll logically, and generally should be dating would be

'30' divided by '2'; plus '7' which makes her '22'. Which sounds absolutely *Spock like voice* "Logical"

Now if the value of "X" increases, the range also increases. so if the dude is 50, it would be assumingly absolutely fine if he was holding the hand of a 32 yr old lady.

Asides from spitting bones on the table the adults here were teaching me some adult theoretical skills XD (The poor guy who squeezed in to have lunch on the same table as us).

During tea time, the office surprised me with cake! Hee Hee, thanks for being there Yi Ma, Billa, Wyn, Shikin, Nazra, Audrey, Vim, Alia, and Dr. Mani!  Thanks to Billa for suggesting a marzipan Kitty to put on my cake to represent me! So cutez! LOL.

The M.U.A. gave me a cute tweezer which reminded her of me (IT'S PINK!) and a lovely shade of Majolica Majorca Lip Gloss. They are now both being carried around EVERYWHERE in my make up kit!

Even Mr. Moon came out for me in all his brilliance. Watching the big, bright white moon to me symbolises a really good day.

It's so bad, that if you were to hand me a naked dish of the month model man I would easily dump him for a smooth, stainless steel finished, 45mm thick 12 foot pole. I would ditch a chance at MTV awards for the pole. All I can talk about all day is pole, pole, pole.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am an official POLE JUNKIE!!!!!

...and I'm not afraid of coming out of the closet shamelessly...first of all because it's not just some hoochie dance that most will perceive it to be. In fact...it's the hardest fitness activity I've ever done!!! (You should check out my biceps now *poses*) Pole dancers seriously deserve ALOT of respect for being able to work out that much.
A sprained ankle can't keep me off the pole, I was dancing pole with a deep stitch worthy cut open at the bottom of my foot before someone saw it and new bruises are cynical trophies of new moves learnt.

I missed my first pole dance competition for fear of aggravating my sprained ankle but this time, I'm going to go ahead with the latest Clorets Amateur Pole Dancing Competition!!!

Pole...my dear people is very much an art form, I'm trying to show that there is more than just sexy. There is also an enterprise of flexibility, performance, artistic moves and after all, it is still a dance. (No I won't do stripping ) I swear if a guy called me hoochie names when I'm dancing, I will lose all my respect and sense of proper civil conduct. He deserves to be taught some moral values with my fist.

Before a friend came to join my classes, I was a very lone ranger of a pole dancer when no one understood why I was grabbing random street signs and twisting the Velvet Underground curtains into a tight whip to twirl round in. She now joins me as a pole addict and we pole together every Friday night (injuries and schedule permitting ) I strongly urge clubs to install some poles! It's unfortunate a majority of poles are in very dodgy places and polers (male and female) would love to have some fun in very SAFE (and happening) environments.

With the very Chinese blood flowing through our veins and by some natural call of nature to ‘Chink Genetics’ we with reflex started translating and analyzing the numbers as closely as an auditor buried in numbers.

We are buoyed in emotion with the rates of the latest Happy Line; and yet cringe at the sight of the accursed ‘dying’ number in it’s 014 prefix.

I kid you not. We later tried incredibly hard to think of numbers to completely nullify the abating number that could mean suffering, expiring and ultimately just dying. Maybe if we had a number along the lines of '-545454' (won't die, won't die, won't die) that should do the trick!

Then there were those other numbers we hoped we weren’t unlucky enough to get addressed with. Fortunate for you if you know Chinese; it’s really much funnier at the sound and intonation it carries (I will however translate the bit)

535 4444 – don’t live; don’t die, die die die

Don’t blame us for being a slave to ciphers of Chinese numbers, I figure we could have been brought up in an almost identical manner when it comes to unraveling “the secrets of digits” *Insert sound effect of heavy noise from timpani drums here*

My own family itself has acquired a taste of fine numbers that we are engrossed obsessed by it.We’re just so completely gripped by it, I could illustrate the following examples:

My own car number means:“Fortune and Prosperity would come my way”

Part of my mothers hand phone number means “prosperity will easily be acquired”

We never cut our food stuffs into four pieces…EVER.

My own mobile states “You live, you will prosper. You die, you will prosper. You live or die, still will fortune is still yours”

One of my important documents has the number “5558”; which although in complete Chinese means “I won’t ever never prosper”. Shocked by my unfortunate luck with numbers when I applied for that document, my auntie has so Bastardised it so accordingly so it reads “Five, five, five, fatt” or in other words… ‘”fai fai fai fatt” in essence would lead to…”Quick fortunes”

I mean...until we had to ROMANISE the bloody number. Legalise it to a half parentage of English. MY GOD.

So now, should I still stick to the Happy Line and pretend that I'm not the least bit bothered with the number ruling my life whenever i give my number away. Then on the other hand I could still save alot of money AND THEN prosper with a mobile line with good rates. Or just look for a way to debauch the number in a foreign language.

It must be that confounded superstitious Chinese New Year bug that's landing a couple of bites on me

What a way to start the new year, sorting out my heels and pumps so I can wear more of them.

I'm really lucky to be able to afford so many nice shoes.. and yet...
Urgh. Unfortunately, all my heels have really noisy effects after some wear and tear. The rubber just gives way and thus exposing the screw or metal part or whatever it is that makes my presence know when I walk down the stairs.

It's unfortunate that one of the local heavily franchised stores famous for shoes (Yes we all probably know which store already since they have an outlet in every major shopping mall in the country) have really nice shoes but really LOUSY RUBBER ATTACHED TO THE HEELS. If any fellow company representatives of that store knows what I am talking about, please go do something about the rubber on the heels. You probably would even recognize some of your designs in the first photo.

I've got at least a dozen shoes to take to the cobbler when business resumes after the new year slog.

Does anyone know how much it will cost to just replace the rubber part?
