With Klang housing an incredibly WTF amount of Bah Kut Teh places. I've been going to one place all the time in Taman Rashna.

What used to be a quaint little coffee shop with gas stoves worn out tables and seats, patrons sitting with their legs spread wide apart while they sipped on their tea...

....is now this place which filled my car with "noises-of-awe".

Looks like business is still gosh darn good. The new Restoran Fong Keow now boasts 3 shop lots, private rooms,  some funky deco, and free wi-fi!

It's a big change from the usual carefree-"feel" I get from Bah Kut Teh shops, we wondered if they still served Bah Kut Teh (ignoring the huge sign outside) Thank goodness there is a huge wall telling us that still do a long with some other suggestions for dishes.

"Wah! Newly renovated. Must try something new!"

 Fresh Juicy Spring Rolls (tho i must add that I think it should be aptly addressed as "Zhao Foo Chuk Kuen)" similar to those found in lobak.

At RM12 per plate (a lil' pricey), four rolls served with a sweet chilli sauce ads a diff zing to having just plain meat and soup in bah kut teh.

The other side dish was nothing too fancy taste wise. The sauce that went along with it was a lil' too thick (but i like thick sauces) Steamed Tofu Served (RM5.00) with fried shallots, onions, spring onions and chilli.

Juicy meat, None of that No Claypot crap, Orgasmic soup. Since we were there an hour before closing time we got the most flavour filled part of the pot. The soup just kept getting better with EVERY REFILL! Additional Tau Foo Pok cost RM1.00 and Golden Mushrooms at RM5.00 (a lil bit exp for the mushrooms)

(Remember how good the soup tasted Yen and Ying?? I just recalled we forgot the YAU ZHAR GUAI!)

Date 10 with Melvin. - Thanks Mel, for the Cham Ping and Pancakes

Melvin is an old friend from my Uni days. I remember the trips to Port Dickson for Dr Khoo's Seaweed collection escapades in his MyVi together with Kelly and Lin plus the want to dress him to look like Gensoumaden Saiyuki's Sanzo.

Instead of writing a 100 word description about himself, he put down in typical Melvin fashion "Aiyah...no need lah"

Though I would say that I don't know Melvin all that well, I don't really need a 100 word description from him with regards to who he is.

The date was more like a catch up session than one with romance in mind. Yet again, in true gentlemen-ship, Mel actually walked me back to the car and even in the rain without an umbrella *glares at men who do not walk me back to the car or home*

I won't go into much details except that the conversation was about body building, badminton, and dating in general LOL

I hate my breakouts and inflammed tired skin especially when I don't get enough sleep and when the monthly visitor comes about. My two best friends swear by it to sooth acne and I thought I would make some of my own.

According to Michelle, Aspirin contains Salicylic Acid for anti-inflamattion, exfoilating dead skin cells thus showing imporvement for wrinkles, discoloured skin, photodamaged skin and acne

My problem is that I'm always so pressed for time, I have to keep making the mask which take up too much of my time (about 8-10 minutes) I mask twice a week, so that means 20 minutes a week / 90 minutes a month to prepare the mask. T-T

I got me some of these DIY masks from Yokoso! (either Pavilion, 1 Utama or Sungei Wang). A pack of 50 goes for about RM9.90 and after using them, they are easily disposed.

I purchased a pack of 24's Bayer Aspririn (Ranging from RM 8.00 to RM10.00), alternatively you may also use Disprin ( A pack of 8 at RM1.88 from watsons)

I emptied the entire box of 24's into a jar with Evian Water (yes only good water for my skin which was actually not that necessary) and you can see the aspirin dissolving almost instantly.

I topped up the water to half the jar and then filled it up with half a bottle of honey (which has rejuvenating properties)

And shook the entire jar to mix. The grit from the Aspirin bits will still remain but this will be great to exfoilate as you wash off the mask later on.

Take out 10 sheets of the disposable mask and individually fold them before soaking them in the Aspirin Mask Mix. This Prevents them from sticking together as an entire clump when you're pulling out the mask for use.

I then seal the jar and put it in the fridge for quick and future use, shaking the jar each time to get more of the grit (which has settled on to the bottom of the jar) on the mask. As you wash of the mask, use the grit left by the mask on your face to exfoilate

Keeping it cool in the fridge will help more with the skin inflammation and is a fantastic sweet smelling mask to use on a hot day after a sweaty outdoor activity that is sure to give you breakouts.

I found that making this mix also tends to make your skin less dried out as the salicylic acid from 24 pcs is well distributed through out 10 pcs of mask

The cost for 10 pcs of mask?

[RM3.50 (half a bottle of honey) + RM8 (24s Aspirin) + RM2.00 (10pcs disposable mask) ] divided by 10 = RM1.35 /mask

In all seriousness, I'm really enjoying #SeptSocials. Some of my friends still think I'm crazy; I sense mom is getting abit worried that I keep going out with random strangers; Love sharing the stories with my closest and best friends.

One night as I was talking to my girlfriend in Australia, I mentioned to her the overwhelming feeling of being a part of it all. It was like being in a candy store...spoilt with so many choices and more and more are just coming in from the delivery truck!

Each different candy with it's own personality, colors, tang and texture all essentially sweet in nature. (I hope my dates, in anyway don't get offended from me calling them candy)

One thing I know for sure, is that one meet-up is not enough to truly know a person. I take no offense or disappointment if they are not interested to hang out with me again, because I respect their decision. Everyone has a right to choose who and how they'd like to be associated with, though I am happy to report a majority of my dates have already made plans to hang out together in the very near future.

I am learning so, so much about myself and about other people.  The way women and men tick. The stories that me and my dates have shared (your secrets are safe with me), practical social gestures just to name a few.

I'd like to thank everybody who has shown support, concern, excitement and providing general feedback over #SeptSocials. I'm glad to know those of you who truly understand that #SeptSocials is in essence not to misconstrued as being cheap, definitely not a booty call, and being desperate.

To the gentlemen I have been out with, your wit, point of view, effort, time, and the pleasure of your company which has made each moment a memorable one.  Thank you for being yourself.

As September comes to an end, I'd like to state that #SeptSocials will still go on, seeing that I will have to honor the time I've promised other dates, right up to even December in Singapore .

I'm excited to accept any other future applications thinking of all the sorts of fun people I can meet!

Things are just going to get better from here onwards. =)

Plus points to him for taking the effort to get out of the driver's seat to open the door for me to his car. Our dinner took place in Providoré, Solaris where he was incredibly obliging to drive back and forth traveling the distance from my place to there.

I made a terrible mistake on choosing "Messy Food" for my servings and I was constantly showing signs of consciousness that my dressing soaked shredded vegetables were putting up a fight with me. Not to mention chocolate stained teeth and lips from dessert that night. I have a feeling the damage control wasn't that helpful either. So not flattering.

He's witty, intelligent and yet, half way through dinner and conversation there were tell tale signs in his tone of voice and body language that this was not going to extend beyond the night.

Being taught the power of saying "Thank You" by the most influential people in my early years (my nanny and my mother) I would never forget to send thanks to my dates during the course of action, after the course of action and not long after. Everybody would like to hear a word of appreciation and gratitude.

I sent him a thank you sms along the lines for dinner, the ride and the company. Received no reply though, I would have myself appreciated a return of acknowledgment that he has received my message. I believe some social graces are in order at times, especially when one is in contact with many people, of a certain age and even with a tight schedule.

Perhaps it's that he didn't want to present the wrong message to me, I could have offended him in some way myself without realizing it. Perhaps it is just the way he is being a busy man and all.

I do hope though, that he did receive my sms of Thanks. If not, Thank you again here.

          

Dinner was with @MrRafiq and company at @SpicyGuy 's @SpicyCorner . I was late from all the work and told them to go ahead on breaking fast. From the moment of my arrival there was good conversation on Ice Cream Naan, Pineapple Growing, Suicidal Cicaks, Pokemon, what to wear for Halloween and irritating  bald men.

Amirul happens to be one of my youngest September Socials applicants and he would really put alot of older men to shame. This fine young gentleman pulls up a chair for me, insists to pay for my roti telur and cheese naan and walked me to my car when it was only about 5 metres away!

Thank you @amirulruslan for being such a sport and going out with this older woman. XD I had loads of fun and if i get an iphone, let's trade Pokemon

          

My first #SeptSocials outing was with a very low key kind of guy. I asked his permission if he can be called as "Evil Henchman" so that it doesn't change much (Thanks very much again!)

He came all the way from Klang to join me on this date (which was initially a dare from a friend of his), researched the restaurant and yes plus points, he was extremely punctual!

It was funny as he told me his "Evil Henchman" was going to kidnap me and bring me over for lunch. Blur sotong me, kept asking him about his "Boss" until we arrived at the café...

April : Eh, order now ah? don't you want to wait for your boss?

EH: *snicker*

April : Hah? two ppl only? Your boss leh

EH: I'm the boss lor.

That really kinda took me by surprise. All in good fun though. This Java Programmer actually managed to confuse me! *LOL*. He was very obliging recalling our conversation on MSN ordering my favourite Thai Dishes! Although timid in nature, I could see that he was quite opiniated. An extremly careful driver and a person who takes note of the needs and wants of other people.

Erin and company took me out to Little Genting where they sat patiently in the car, and I shot without a tripod (How clever of me not to bring a tripod!) So that is the "Steadiest" shot I got all night. My friends around the world are going to miss beloved KL.

A long weekend of fun should be karma-tically rewarded with a big pile waiting in the office. The great thing about Saturday - Monday is the fun I've been having, meeting old and new friends with many shared experiences.

I'll also be sending out the answers to #septsocials within this hour (though it's 1am) and a couple of work emails too.

This isn't just some random LOL, OMG, WTF post or a sign of desperation (I assure you Mom, your girl has not yet reached the breaking point of her sanity, let alone her emotions).

I am about to dedicate the nights and days in September, to meet new people (especially the opposite sex) or to get to know the ones I'm already acquainted with a little better.

So Why should you date me?

It's hard to self promote and be humble at the same time, I'm not very good at being pretentious so I'll just roll it all up and promise you that there will be definitely some interesting take home Kodak moment OR I have a natural talent to say something that will be permanently etched in your memory. Some just witnessed me nearly setting a shisha / Ramly burger joint on fire recently, but let's save that story for when I go out with you.

You should be able to tell by now that I'm random, impish with that "Bring It On" Attitude. I will not overblow the fact that being able to pole dance gives me extra credit, because there is really more to me than just being flexible and having a good grip. I am passionate about alot of things from History to Physics, Anime to LOL Speek, Music to Charity. Politics and Cars tho, are definitely not my strong points.

I have a decent physical stature and because I aim to please most of the time, impressions mean lasting moments for me. That doesn't mean I will take ages to get ready tho!

No. I do not have a jealous other half at this moment who will pose any threat to you should you be caught with me. Make sure you don't too XD

Oh wait, I do need to go through a filtration process, with abit of background check before I proceed. A Wednesday night having earned well deserved cupcakes and a Virgin Mojito at Marmalade with friends. Thx to Cincau Hangus for working his magic with my camera for the cupcake shots

Then it's home to make more mini cupcakes.... (previews later)

          

Gotta give her credit for noticing the beautiful sunset near her old abode. Promised her I'd get the pic for her because she couldn't really capture it's full glory on her camera phone. Here it is as promised

          

Lydia: What do you want to eat tonight?

April: I dunno. I've been having so much good food, I have no idea what to eat.

I had so much food, not only can I feel the muffin spillover effect around my pants, but I felt the cosmic collision of flavours in the organ embedded beyond my solar plexus.

We chanced upon Dain Ti Hill, nestled in the corner of the top shopping floor in Pavillion. We dumped the initial plan to have Thai, Korean, Turkish or whatever there was to celebrate a moment here:

The place looked like a Chinese restaurant that fettered with a Shanghai night club. The Neon Blues coming together with the Reds to orchestrate a  play of violet and gold illuminations thoughout the place.(Though this made it hard for me to take pics without a filter!)

When asking the friendly waiter what did they serve, we had a choice of Chinese/Japanese Fusion food. Interesting. We really do have enough of those Taiwanese fusion or Hong Kong fusion dines in K.L. and this restaurant after all is the first branch they've opened in M'sia from Taipei itself.

A salad of nuts, chunked up grape fruits and salad. It's something that tastes really fresh, with a mild zesty taste. Instead of expecting a sourish taste to the mix, there was a surprising bitterness possibly because of the grapefruit.

A sweet mustard cream sauce with cashews, peppers and deep fried chicken. If you like something like your usual sweet and sour dish with mustard notes towards the end of the taste, I recommend this

"Wong Kum Tau Foo" echoed Mr. captain as we ordered this dish. You've got your usual white tofu here. Braised with alot of Salted Egg Yolk. Gets abit gooey and filling the more you eat it. Two or Three ladles of this scooped on your dish is enough.

This topped the cake (although it ain't cake). The sauteed Imperial Beef in Imperial Sauce. It was sooo tender....not melt in your mouth tender but chewy tender. Caramelised Onions, lightly peppered on the top. The taste is well..imperial. A great 7.5 stars out of 10 beef dish.

Inclusive of a drink and rice the bill came up to about MYR90.00 a pretty decent price for a Chinese Style dinner. I'd like to go back and try the Emperor Rolls the have a full page on! Definitely going to let daddy know, he'd love the beef!

Off then to have hot chocolate and another slice of birthday cake, (Which I didn't blow candles off... I swear mom...honest) while waiting for Mei Ai's call. Didn't think she could make it with the heavy rain and her choir performance and all.

These were two of the faces that graced the local pole dancing phenomenom last September. And like the pole dancers we are,... we'd even pose in the toilet after doing our (actually only my part) hair and makeup. Meeting up with Frances made me miss pole and pole class alot. Plus all the good times washing down Devi's roti telur with their faboosh fish curry with tonnes of Teh O' Ais. Makes me miss Lola, Vee, Yee Von and all the rest of the girls at pole too.... No matter! I hope to be back on the pole soon! This is not a post for laments.

Niku Niku Love! My staple order when it comes to Japanese food. I need my soul and body warming Udon soup running through my body with plenty of beef!

And I certainly never go without Salmon! I had to pack this in myself since Frances doesn't eat raw fish (have to stop sounding so awfully noble when I'm not!)

Frances Recommended the Enoki Mushrooms wrapped with gyu niku! MMM.. so nais! But breaks down to about RM4 per piece! eeps!

And who doesn't like crunchy crunchy dragon roll!!! Rolls with cruncy fried stuffinz.

And hey cake number 6!!! Macha Macha Parfait with a green coloured GLITTERED CANDLE!!! (Mom is going to so kill me with all these candle blowing business)

          

The close knitted bunch of the old alumni girls and I went out for dinner at La Risata, Medan Damansara.

I'm so glad that the girls were happy with the restaurant choice and dishes there (I suppose we have made good choices despite my recommendation for Ravioli de Pesce!) having a choice of Lobster, Salmon, Lamb and healthy chicken breasts.

A night of independent assertions, in-vehicle shocker stories, updates on bimbotic wannabes and the other usual girl stuff. So much to update each other with that we had to continue with round 2 and label our stories by a chapter marker.

A mint chocolate chip caramel coated with dollups of fresh whipped cream birthday cake for the three Aries women celebrating that night. We got Mei's parents and her adorable son Ryan to join in with us! Although we can proclaim that it's alright for us to over indulge that day, one can only stomach so much good food in one seating!

Asides from spitting bones on the table the adults here were teaching me some adult theoretical skills XD (The poor guy who squeezed in to have lunch on the same table as us).

During tea time, the office surprised me with cake! Hee Hee, thanks for being there Yi Ma, Billa, Wyn, Shikin, Nazra, Audrey, Vim, Alia, and Dr. Mani!  Thanks to Billa for suggesting a marzipan Kitty to put on my cake to represent me! So cutez! LOL.

Gifts from the collegues downstairs at the counter and Gurdip and Teng Plus I've got shopping Vouchers from Intan!

Since I already celebrated with the family, It's time to celebrate with the BFFs and the gang at Starbucks! M.U.A. was such a sweetie to come pick me up all the way from work (and later send me home after that)

The entire bux usual buxing gang including Laineh, Wei Wei, and Alvin were there! Hee!

Thank you Mabel for wrapping the crazy but beautiful gift from Catherine and Grace! Which basically went from a huge box to reversing the effects of earth hour, meeting Paris Hilton and Nicole Kidman, Coffee Brewer, Tazo Teas, Lip Balm sunscreen to a pretty bracelet with beautiful turq bees

Thank you very much also to everyone who tried to get my favourite cake for me although some logistics problems came up. But this Cheezy Choc cake is awesome enough

Although her main present wasn't here, Laineh gave me  a mini gift in the cutest box with cute  eyelashes, hair removers (LOL), CHOCOLATE FLVR-ed mask, Bvlgari and Clinique!

The M.U.A. gave me a cute tweezer which reminded her of me (IT'S PINK!) and a lovely shade of Majolica Majorca Lip Gloss. They are now both being carried around EVERYWHERE in my make up kit!

Even Mr. Moon came out for me in all his brilliance. Watching the big, bright white moon to me symbolises a really good day.

Wait... Celebrations prolly started circa 12:30pm on April 7th 2009 when I called out Wan Feng for lunch so we could both seek relief in a Steaming Claypot of Bah Kut Teh. Uncalled for, unplanned, fun. I always knew how to keep my emotions in elevated levels by seeking happiness in food.

.... and at about 6:00-7:00pm. Off to Little Taiwan SS15 we go for the original idea. Huei Ying joined in and drove all the way after hearing what had happened to me earlier in the day. Thanks Huei Ying!

Plus the original two people I spent my entire 3 years with in Monash Wan Feng and Shing Ying. Looking at flies, cutting up rats, scurrying by the culture room with our noses pinched to avoid the smell of growing bacteria culture.

All the girls who know me so well and can take my eccentric mannerisms, egoism and random quirks (I shouldn't be proud of such things).

I had my very first makeshift Birthday cake, Birthday Thick Toast with peanut butter!

In the most "April" of ways and at these times, I settle down to certain things with child-like wonderment.

I always wish for the same thing every year since my 21st Birthday.

"Come what may, I'll take the bitter with the sweet, gains and the loss, love and bitterness. as long as at the end of my life, I'm a happier and better person. Oh and Screw It, just do it!"

I don't believe in not telling people your wish because if you can say it out (aiyoh sounds like some personal development training thing) and mean it everytime u wish for it, it will come true.

Although I'm Not 30 years old or 3 years old either, but with the help of the girls, we decided that three candles should have three special meanings attached to them.

Yellow for Happiness, Red for Prosperity and Pink for Love Luck and Beauty. Eh money inside there I pinjam from here and there... I'm not that rich so don't ever think of doing what I'm thinking you would do to me.
